Kids Can update 2014

What you do matters.

It matters to the thousands of children in New Zealand who go to school with an empty tummy. It matters to the parents who can’t afford to buy their children new school shoes or raincoats to wear in winter.

Through the USANA True Health Foundation, you have donated a total of $15,000 to Kidscan in 2014. Leigh Jeffs from Kidscan shares with us where that money and other donations have accomplished throughout NZ.

“We have recently added 19 more schools to the KidsCan family, meaning we are now at a total of 449 partner schools around the country.

Below are also the 2014 Milestones to date:

  • 98,515 items of clothing distributed so far this year
  • Over 15,000 children are on our Food for Kids programme to receive nutritious food every week
  • 91,714 basic hygiene and health items distributed
  • 1,010 prescriptions funded for sick children
  • 70 children treated so far in the Hawkes Bay for major head lice infestations (programme launched mid-October)

Thanks for your continued support. We are looking forward to another big year at KidsCan and working towards supporting even more Kiwi kids living in poverty.” – Leigh Jeffs, Marketing Executive at Kidscan
