It has been a long journey for Brent Melville. Longer even than the 200 km’s he is going to cycle as part of the Milford to Invercargill Heart Kids Charity Ride.
Brent, a 23-year-old teacher aid at Tisbury School in Invercargill has started a journey that has helped him lose 45 kg in just over six months.
Brent, decided to try Usana’s Reset Programme after it was recommended to him by a work college. “I found out that [Usana] had this great Reset Programme and my friend had seen great results so I tried it thinking I had nothing to lose.”
When he started his journey weighing in at over 160 kg’s, working a 7.30am to 5.30pm day job. Finding it hard to find the time or energy. However, he found the motivation after he saw the weight falling off.
He ate the Usana foods – shakes with water, nuts, water and fruit. “Being a single man I’m not cooking anything fancy so what I cut out was potatoes, bread, alcohol, any processed foods and sugar. If I do get bread for a change it’s the whole-meal one. It made a big difference.”
