]]>The sad reality is that this day is not as publicised as other holidays like Mothers Day, Fathers Day or even Valentines Day. However, as strong women (and men), we won’t let that get us down. Instead we will do our bit to get the word out there and celebrate our fellow ladies!
Let’s face it, the world wouldn’t be as colourful as it is today without the presence of beautiful ladies like yourselves. Women in every form help us grow and flourish, from our mothers who prepare delicious meals every day, to our older sisters who guide us on what NOT to wear when dressing for a first date, or the wives who help balance families and a career. Today is all about telling the women in your lives how much we care, love and respect them.
Where ever you are, raise a glass and let’s honor the milestones we have achieved as women, from New Zealand becoming the first country in the world where women had the right to vote in national elections 1893, to our first elected female prime minister, Helen Clark in 1999 and to many more milestones to come.
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
