This set the precedent for another sold out, high energy USANA Health Sciences event, and our guest speakers 3-Star Diamond Director Michael Callejas and Dr Nick Kimber definitely didn’t disappoint.
Friday 16 October
The two day event started with a guest focused introduction to USANA at Skycity Theatre in Auckland City, with Dr Nick Kimber talking about the science behind the products. Following from Dr Kimber was Haidee Tiffen (White Ferns Captain) and Team USANA Athlete and White Ferns player, Maddy Green
Michael Callejas introduced our guests to the business side of USANA with excellent results and leaving everyone wanting to know more!
Saturday 17 October
Things got serious at the training as everyone arrived ready and eager to learn. Recognition kicked off everything off, followed by health training from Ruby Director Trish Ignacio, and Michael took the floor again for an extremely valuable 2 hour training session.
Overall the event was a great success and the group are now touring Australia

From surprise guests to the flower gardens of Furano and fantastic food, our Asia Pacific Associates celebrated their business brilliance in Hokkaido, Japan, in real style!
Our top 25 were treated to an all-expenses paid trip over six exciting days.
Taking in the scenic splendour of Sapporo, the group stayed at the famous JR Tower Hotel Nikko. And, over five nights, our super, high-achieving Associates were treated to exciting shopping excursions, terrific tours and superb local cuisine. The fabulous food was a major highlight – and with fresh sashimi, sushi and seafood on the menu, it’s easy to see why!

Accomplished Australian Associates, De-Rong and John and Lisa, cited the rows of rainbow coloured blooms and scenic sights of the blossoming flower gardens of Furano plus the breathtaking Tomita Farm as some of their favourite highlights from their Hokkaido trip.
Big smiles!
The Asia-Pacific group photo promised to be a big memory for many – and it certainly was! Having donned their Otaru outfits and sporting wide smiles while they waited at the scenic waterway, USANA CEO Dave Wentz surprised the group as he sailed down the charming canal. He was welcomed with much waving and cheering. Our USANA President of China and Greater Asia, Deborah Woo, was also welcomed warmly!

The group enjoyed a gondola ride onto Jewel’s Restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful 100 year old gardens surrounding ELM Garden Restaurant for the Gala Dinner. The warm weather and picturesque views plus the minute attention to detail at every gathering were big plus points and much appreciated by our Associates over the whole event.
Record growth
Wrapping up this fantastic five days, our very own Vice President of the Pacific Region, David Mulham, paid tribute to the powerful and inspirational leaders who’ve experienced yet another year of record growth. ‘It’s only up from here for these top 25 and all of our wonderful Associates,’ affirmed a delighted David.

Bulla! Earlier this week, nearly 50 of Australia and New Zealand’s fastest-growing Associates visited a type of paradise – we attended the Growth Incentive Trip to the glittering islands of Fiji. Whilst most days and nights were spent in the luxury of the Intercontinental Resort at Natatola Bay near Nadi, last Monday was different and truly memorable for all of us!
Our wonderful group of Associates gave up their morning to visit a local Kindergarten at the Tuva Public School. Although situated in a desperately poor area, this school is a source of great pride for the community and for the children who attend it.
Outside and ready to start work! |
First, the fence – making a start with the drilling |
The inspiration for providing the time and the resources to help this wonderful community came from the USANA True Health Foundation, which is dedicated to helping improve the lives of the poorest communities in the world.
A fence will help to keep the children safe |
Some of us could do with brushing up on our ball skills! |
Through the generous contribution of Associates throughout the world, the True Health Foundation was able to provide a number of resources. And by contributing their time and effort, our hard-working Associates used those resources to create something truly worthwhile for the school and for the community whilst forming an incredibly memorable time for all involved.
We dug and drilled, and worked hard in the sun. We read books, sang songs and played games with the kids, and we all fell in love with this warm and generous community. We were reminded that true richness has little to do with wealth.
Super smart in their brand new T-shirts |
Some well-deserved toys! |
Although we spent the day helping to meet some of the Kindergarten’s material needs, we came away with so much more. Despite having so little, these wonderful, warm children reminded us how to connect, how to laugh easily, and smile so brightly!
Its all about the kids |

A captivating experience |
Each of us was much richer for the experience. I and our group of Associates and colleagues will always remember the Kindergarten at Tuva and will always touched deeply by the warmth of the humanity we were met with!

Afterwards, Associates got together and decided to contribute further to this very special place. Associates collected over 1,000 Fiji dollars. It was a heartfelt donation intended to help meet the future needs of the school and the wonderful children and adults associated with it.
Vinaka!
Need we say more? |
We had a great day out at Takanini. The 4WD Association took out 18 CanTeen patients for some off-road driving along some really fun tracks. USANA sponsored refreshments and giveaways to the participants in the way of Nutrition Bars, Rev3 and Nutrimeal, along with water bottles and caps. We thank USANA for their contribution towards the fun-filled day.
The CanTeen attendees had an opportunity to drive the vehicles and travelled from Papakura, to Waiuku to the beautiful Kariotahi Beach where they stopped for lunch before making the return trip. One vehicle became stuck and everyone had fun trying to extract it. Congratulations to Amelia who was the winner of the USANA cap!
CanTeen has a clear focus on the needs of young people living with cancer. The foundation was built upon the fundamental belief that young people – through meeting, talking and sharing their experiences – would be better able to cope with the uncertainties of living with cancer.

Chris Folland and Fiona Jamieson-Folland in New Zealand, 2 STAR Diamond Directors, took up a challenge in 2010 to sponsor 16 Associates in 16 weeks! Here is Chris’ story in his own words.
One way to think of personal sponsorship is that it’s the life blood for growing your business. So we accepted Gill Stapleton’s sponsorship challenge, back in September 2010, and set a goal – to sponsor 16 Associates in 16 weeks! Then, interestingly, the challenges appeared. We seemed to have less people to talk to about USANA, and we moved offices – twice! We had phone & internet glitches, many of our prospects said no; over and over again. Surely we had enough logical, ‘legitimate’ reasons to give up and everyone would think it was OK. However, we realized it wouldn’t be okay with us. We chose to complete our goal because we said we would. We realised it made more sense to show our team, rather than tell them, that they can reach their targets too. Success was definitely testing us and we stepped up and decided to pass! So, re-focusing on how USANA has and is helping us, and how it has the potential to help others – our enthusiasm increased and we doubled our prospecting efforts. WOOHOO! What a feeling – we hit our target! And this just shows us that you can too. When you decide to stay focused on your business and share the gift of time, money and health with someone new every day, success is guaranteed to come your way!
We hope this story inspires you to take up your own USANA business challenge and succeed in meeting and exceeding your own expectations. Share Dr Myron Wentz’s health and wealth vision with someone new every day and watch your dreams turn into reality.

With only 9 months in USANA, Millie is an approachable, kind and caring person who genuinely wants to share her passion for True Wealth and True Health.
Great story right? How do we know about Millie? Because Millie was actually talking to a USANA staff member, during her lunchtime stroll. With only 9 months in the business, Millie’s aim is to give away 3 Health and Freedom Solution DVDs a day and our staff member was to be the third.
Millie is so passionate about USANA and the freedom that it can bring, she’s loving the Health and Freedom Solution DVD and she’s loving life.
“Someone has helped me in my life. I would like to share and help more people.” – Millie Qiu
It was a great day to see USANA Associates like Millie, trying to make a difference. Thank you!
We love hearing stories like this so if you have a great “How I got into USANA” story, please let us know! We’d love to hear from you.
Continue to be Motivated. Educated. Inspired!
