]]>The third annual fundraising event with the WTA and Aces for Humanity has just kicked off. For those unaware, beginning at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, every ace served by the eight USANA Brand Ambassadors-Caroline Wozniaki, Eugenie Bouchard, Madison Keys, Monica Puig, Sloane Stephens, Samantha Stosur, Alize Cornet, Kristina Mladenovic and Zheng Saisai-the WTA contributes $10 to the campaign, while every ace served by any other WTA player translated into a $5 donation.
This year we have also teamed with the WTA to run a social media contest that includes prize packs of USANA product and a signed tennis ball from a WTA player at the end of each Premier-level event this season. For full contest rules visit www.wtatennis.com
Collectively, 430 aces were recorded by USANA Brand Ambassadors during last season’s campaign, with Madison Keys leading the group with 138 non-returnable serves. Through this program and other charitable efforts, the WTA has contributed over $115,000 to the USANA True Health Foundation since 2011.

]]>It matters to the thousands of children in New Zealand who go to school with an empty tummy. It matters to the parents who can’t afford to buy their children new school shoes or raincoats to wear in winter.
Through the USANA True Health Foundation, you have donated a total of $15,000 to Kidscan in 2014. Leigh Jeffs from Kidscan shares with us where that money and other donations have accomplished throughout NZ.
“We have recently added 19 more schools to the KidsCan family, meaning we are now at a total of 449 partner schools around the country.
Below are also the 2014 Milestones to date:
Thanks for your continued support. We are looking forward to another big year at KidsCan and working towards supporting even more Kiwi kids living in poverty.” – Leigh Jeffs, Marketing Executive at Kidscan

]]>FIRST STOP; PALMERSTON NORTH!
The road trip started out as a small idea to bring support to some of the smaller New Zealand regions, but quickly became something much bigger and was dubbed ‘The Lisa Tamati Tour’. The tour began in Palmerston North with Lisa speaking to children at two local schools including Somerset Crescent Primary and Palmerston North Boys High. That evening, Lisa spoke at the Palmerston North Convention Centre to a room of approximately 150 guests from the region.
NAPIER
The next day called for an early start and the crew headed off to the next stop which was Napier in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region. Lisa was scheduled for a luncheon which was put on in conjunction with Sport Hawkes Bay and the Napier City Council to raise money for 18 local children who are headed for the junior Olympics. Jeanette Cooper who is the Special Projects Team Leader at Sport Hawkes Bay says, “I have had positive feedback from the 18 children present at Lisa Tamati’s talk, with feelings of being uplifted and inspired. Many of the attendees stated they could have listened for another hour. We also appreciated how Lisa was willing to stay back for photos and book signings. Many thanks to everyone!”
June McCarthy who is a Hawkes Bay USANA associate and who played a significant role in the success of the Lisa Tamati Tour says, “I have spoken to some of the people who attended the Napier talk and they were really impressed with Lisa and the professional way the evening was conducted. The result was massive brand awareness for USANA and affiliation with schools, sports organisations, networking groups, businesses and councils.”
That evening, Lisa had another opportunity to speak again to a local crowd of over 200 people. Lisa shared her story and went into some of the hardships that she’s faced over the years whilst attempting to achieve feats that many of us can’t begin to contemplate. After mixing and mingling, a large group had shown interest in finding out more about USANA, and were invited to attend a Health and Freedom event in the following week.
TAUPO
Heading north, Lisa and the group stopped in Taupo for lunch with local associates and guests. This was a welcomed opportunity for the group to spend some quality time with Lisa, all of whom left with a feeling of inspiration and awe.
A GREAT SUCCESS
NZ Business Manager, Robyn Brown, travelled with Lisa throughout the duration of the tour and says, “This tour with Lisa reinforced USANA’s “local area/local community” focus. Fostering relationships with schools and local government bodies was successful both for brand awareness and the promotion of USANA as an organization that really wants to change lives.”
All in all, the Lisa Tamati Tour was a huge success with kiwi children and adults alike benefiting from Lisa Tamati’s one of a kind story and not mention the priceless coverage of USANA! Lesson learnt; Never underestimate the power of our talented Team USANA Athletes!
Special thanks to June McCarthy, Sue MacLachlan, Karen Buckland, Meg Clayton, Somerset Crescent School, Palmerston North Boys High, Sport Hawkes Bay and the Napier City Council, for ensuring the success of this event.
